Hello all. Newbie posting

I just bought 1968 chevy 1/2 ton fleet side the other day that I am going to restore. The truck has a 350 v8 engine that the previous owner seemed to think that there is a bent pushrod. He said that he was driving home one day and it lost compression so he pulled over and had it towed home. Now for the questions. How would I go about checking to see if this is a bent pushrod?
