USAF, TTY maintenance ’64-’68, Philippine islands and Viet toward the end, some good times back then, some bad!
I tried Jerry, but I couldn't break my neck in the midget or a sprint car so I switched to Aerobatics in a Pitts Special biplane. I'm to dam% old and broke to do any of it now days so all I can do is talk about it. At least I kept the biplane, sits in the hanger with a couple of hundred hours of time on it, taint turned a prop in 20 years. I just can't bring my self to get rid of that one, took me 5000 man hours to build it.
So you’re saying that you welded the wheels while mounted in the lathe, or did ya turn them out of a billet??

Thanks for the tip workmaster, can’t find your real name! Nice restoration job. Since the 46 was the old style 3/4 ton I’m wondering just how much different the suspension is from the AD as far as the clearances. I see from your pics that the rear hub looks very similar to the AD.
That ’77, 4x4 16.5” wheel in the picture has a 5” offset, 2” more than the stock split rim.
Lets see if I got this right, the K20 was a 3/4 pickup and the C20 was a Suburban, zat right???
