Hotshoe, Macau was a Portugese colony on the coast of mainland China, so there aren't any mountains to speak of in the area. Most of the course is run through relatively narrow city streets, with some high-speed straightaways along the sea wall, and elsewhere there's room to stretch a car out. It's a 6.2 Kilometer closed course.

I worked with a couple of Department of Defense civilian employees in the Okinawa Sports Car Club while I was stationed there, building engines and doing chassis setup in the early 70's. Two of the cars I worked on got flown to Macau on a C-130 and competed in the race. Don't know how that happened, but some strings got pulled, I'm sure! We had some wealthy, high-ranking GS civilians in the club. I crashed a brand new Mazda RX-2 in the 1972 OSCC hill climb, broke it in half, and broke my neck. That ended my driving career, as I decided it would be nice to see my 1-month-old daughter grow up!
