I used to maintain a fleet of trucks for a big co. Against my advise some yuppy in a plush office decided to switch all the trucks to propane. It turned into a disaster. Ther drivers didn,t like it because it was a nuisance to fill & if you ran out you had to be towed in. The converted fuel system was troublesome & you couldn,t keep valve seats in them. A valve job lasted about 10,000 miles on the fords & a little longer on the chevs. They soon converted every thing over to diesel like I recommended in the first place. That,s why you don,t see them anymore.
