you need the kit to convert carb, by pass fuel pump, and a fuel preheater [for propane at least, just a heat exchanger using rad water], and of course an approved tank ... kits are made for 1 and 2 barrel jeeps, so it should be possible

lotsa folks on propane up here - the bus I got previously had a 454 on propane
