Even more interesting in the LMC catalog it states that the tank for 54 through 59 has a sending unit feed line and that if the sending unit is used for a 47 through 53 they sell a plug for the sending unit feed line.
I am contacting LMC (as was suggested at first by Woogeroo) The packing slip says I got the right tank but there are no markings on the tank ...maybe they sent the wrong one.
Did the 54 to 59 tanks mount behind the seat like the 53
