I'm no expert on the subject.. but if I just bought a new gas tank and it was [censored]' gas when I filled it up, i'd be less than happy.
This isn't the first time i've heard about a new tank leaking.. and if i'm not mistaken, the last one I heard about was from Chevy Duty, too. You could probably search the fourms here and find the guy who was grousing about it.
I'd call 'em and tell them you want the tank replaced.. no way you should have to jack around with a new part to make it work.
