Atomarc is right- When you put the new pilot bearing in you should use a pilot bushing installation tool. It looks just like the clutch alignment tool only without the splines.

Autzone is a great resource in situations like this 'cause they will let you 'rent' the tool you need for free! You give them a deposit of the value of the tool, use it and then when you return it they give you the money back! I think NAPA might be doing that now too!
