The clutch is out now, so the point is sort of moot, but from what I see, it's only about halfway worn out..if that!
If you buy a clutch kit from a big box auto outfit, they usually come with a wooden or plastic input shaft for alignment. It won't be splined as this isn't necessary.
To stop the engine from turning, fill all the cylinders with 50 wt motor oil and put the plugs back in...just kidding. Use a flat bar or screwdriver jammed into the ring gear as you loosen the bolts.
