All you need is a large splitting wedge, a 2 pound sledge and various pry bars to do it yourself. I've done all of my own tire work myself since day one. It's a lot of work, but most tire shop would rather not mess with them and would price it accordingly. The most important thing about split and double split rims is clean the grooves and the ring very well. Don't force, distort or bend the ring. Only inflate the tire in a cage, under a hoist with a car on it or with a chain wrapped loosely around the tire. If you were closer, I would offer my services,
