Gertie doesn't shed too many parts. She does have a belt problem in her hind end, though. I need to go and get a replacement for it, 'cause I don't like the sounds it makes when the belt slips.
Interestingly enough, Grandpa has FOUR D17's. (Two series III's and two Series IV's.) They go by the following monikers:
The Gas one
The Diesel one
The Burnt one
The one in the shop
The one in the shop is undergoing a frame-off resto as we speak.
The burnt one was in a barn fire, and grandpa picked it up and redid it.
The other two are his "normal" tractors.
He's also got two Deeres. One's a B, and I have no idea what the other one is. It's quite a bit newer though.
