Fuel pump on the 97 s10 I had was over $300, the one for my 64 was $13. Two bolts held on the 64 pump, had to remove bed & "engineer" special tool to remove the lines on the S10. Folks seem worried I drive a 41 y/o truck long distances, no cell phone & only a minor tool or two. It hasn't let me down except once, the fuel pump rocker pin came loose, I pushed it back in & drove on home. Put some epoxy on the pin on the new pump I installed later. These old trucks are truly amazing machinery, I bought one that had sat for 4+yrs, the 250 still ran on the old fuel. I ran an emery board thru the points & w/a hot battery, she fired right up & IDLED! Brian
