I say make your own decisions.
That being said, I have had a 235 in my 52 one ton for about 6 years, It has been extremely reliable, and easy to work on and get parts for. I drove it around the country, (8,000 miles in 28 days), with no engine problems.
I rebuilt it with the idea of keeping my truck mostly stock, now I want something with more power, speed, and better gas mileage. So I am going with a 4 cylinder.
Now that will be something different! Ever seen a 4 cylinder in an AD Chevy?
