Anytime you can pull with a Diesel, use it!!! Less $$$ on fuel, more torque, and they're built for it. Most 1/2-ton anythings aren't properly equipped for anything but light hauling and towing less than #5K. Lighter brakes, smaller rear ends, easy to drive empty and a nice ride, to boot...Yeah, they'll do the job, but...! Now, was I talking about women or trucks...Oh, yeah!
Use the diesel! You'll never go back to a wussy little gas 1/2-ton for towing EVER!
