You can't use the bumper hitch for that load but if the truck has a proper hitch it will be no problem. I have a 4500 lb trailer boat that I used to tow with my Ford F150 supercab. And it only had the straight six. Which is actually a great towing engine coupled with the granny 4speed. I pulled it up mountains and four wheeled it out of the steepest and slipperiest launch ramps for many years.
