Brad makes a very good point. There is alot to ponder on the economic side of hauling it yourself vs. hiring it out. I have checked with those professional haulers as well. Usually there can be quite a waiting period before they have a truck coming in your direction. They will generally charge additional $100-$150 if the vehicle doesnt run, or poses any loading headaches for them. With fuel prices as they are now, I would bet on more than $1 a mile these days as well. But a good option to look into.
