True the corn head is not going to flow out of the tube, but if you start stirring it up it liquify pretty quickly. The intended use was to solidify why setting still so it didn't leak out, but become liquid when being used.

I was able to push the tube contents into a zip-lock bag, cut off the corner, and simply squeeze it into the gear box.

If your seals are good, Cotten Picker, or gear oil will be a best option, but if it leaks now, corn head is the better option in my opinion. Watch the video, does it still look solid while running? John Deere Corn Head Grease
