The AD fuel tanks have no baffles. Do the AK tanks have baffles? If fuel spills out of your gas gap when you go around a corner, your gas cap is defective.

Leaving the tank half empty all the time creates a large space for humid air to condense and allow water into the fuel. Gas tanks on antique cars and modern cars should be stored full and refilled to the top no lower than 1/4 tank.

Does your tank have a petcock drain on the bottom of it like the AD tanks? If so, get under there with a jar after the vehicle has been able to rest overnight and open up the petcock. See if the first stuff that comes out is water. If so, keep draining until it turns into gasoline.
