I played around with Oxy welding a few times, but never enough to get proficient. It's kinda sorta similar to TIG welding. But once I got my TIG welder, I just used that for everything and never spent the time going back to learn Oxy. Now refilling torch bottles is so darn expensive, it would be expensive to practice as well.
