Yes! Definitely makes it easier for the wife and also if you have a center seat passenger. Don't want shifting getting in the way any more than necessary. You'll find most of the spacers out there are 1 inch thick. 1 and a quarter shortens the throw just a bit more. This is what I got and the guy's name is David Farwell.
