The pictures you posted showing the frame ends and frame horns appear to match those on my ‘46. So, my speculation about another manufacturer seems to be eliminated. In looking at the photos showing the rivets used to mount the cross members to the rails it looks like any custom work would seem to be eliminated as well. The rivets look to me like they are original.
