I appreciate all the civil discussion on this subject. My only reason for considering the all electric A/C system is pure laziness. I am of the age where turning wrenches is not all that enjoyable especially since my shop is the great outdoors. The electric units look to be doable in a weekend by myself. I admittedly find myself over my head when trying to decipher all the numbers looking for the highest output possible. I have 3 vehicles I’m looking to add A/C to and at $2000 per vehicle for conventional setups it is beyond my budget. So, if a $800 all electric unit will do the job I will be happy. Thanks again for all the responses.
