Can I use 6ga wire to go from a 60amp circuit breaker to the positive buss bar and then to the ign switch. Would I need a couple of 30amp inline fuses also? One inline fuse before the buss bar and one out of the buss bar to the ign switch? Everything else is wired and fused out of the fuse box.
A 60 amp breaker near the source of power (either battery or battery cable near the starter) then 6 gauge wire (good to 15 feet - see attached wire size table) to distribution point. I personally wouldn't use more than 15 amps through a stock ignition switch. Anything more, I'd control by relays triggered from the ignition switch.
