Looks to me like the strap that connects from the middle post on the gauge hooks to ground out of sight on the other end. What does the printing on the strap say?
IF (big if) it does, then you'd only need one wire connected to switched 12 volts. I don't know what that big thing that sort of looks like a relay is.
