That avoids destroying the gear, and gives me easy access to the cam thrust plate screws. The same puller will also work on the crank gear. Why rent or borrow a puller when you can have your own for less than the cost of a Burger King Whopper combo? www.ebay.com/itm/292290247337?Jerry
