There are two more numbers you need to look for- - - -the block casting number will be near the oil pan rail on the passenger's side, close to the fuel pump. There will also be a stamped (not cast) number on a machined pad just behind the distributor. Both of those numbers should be able to let one of our resident number crunchers do a deep dive into the origin of the engine and it's original vahicle application.
