That way you can have all four mounting arms loose while you center the plate up. In you picture you have the mounting pipe offset to one side, that's dangerous as the engines weight is not centered.

I understand, it is hanging by the hoist so the engine mount is loose. It appears to me that the mounting arms just won’t reach all 4 positions. Very frustrating!
