The 35 Maple leaf HX series had model 16-42 with a 141 inch. wheelbase and model 16-43 on a 165 inch wheelbase. Both were 2 tons. Both had the first hydraulic brakes on a Chevrolet built truck. They had a dual range rear axle available with a shift lever in the cab a control rod to the rear axle. Both used the regular 35 truck Chevrolet engine 207 cu. in. inline 6 cylinder. All Maple Leaf trucks came with a 3 in. core radiator and a chrome plated radiator grille. Wheels were Firestone RH rims (continuous rim no rivets) with a one piece lock ring and only 5 stud mounting hole frt. and rear.
