Buoymaker: Thanks for the size update on the Rochester B. So these use a vacuum piston rather than metering rods? That's how the Zeniths work. I think I prefer the Carter metering rod system. I've worked on many of those, eg. YF and AFB. I used to have a little box full of AFB metering rods. Don't know what happened to them; probably in he same place as the Delco distributor advance weights and springs.

If I overhauled the B, do you think I could I sell is as a "rebuilt" carb on E-Bay for enough to make it worth the trouble to overhaul it, provided it doesn't need throttle-shaft bushings? I suppose I could use it myself but the manifold appears to be warped; I have another good one off a 235 truck. Is the bore in the manifold the same? However if I did that I'd have to revamp the dual exhaust system.
