Isn't the guy who originated most of these ridiculous-looking modifications named R. Goldberg? Improving the performance of a stock-appearing engine without throwing truckloads of dollars at the project makes a little sense. The rest of it is just eye candy to feed an overactive ego. (At least in my humble opinion!)
