Very interesting truck. This is a very early production '48 model. It has the smooth cowl, & no rain gutter, to the front edge, of the cowl.'47's, & early '48's were like this. The later '48's-'55 1st series cowls, had raised re-inforcement areas("H" pattern), in the cowl face. They also, had the ran gutter.
