I was going to mention that, but i've always been kinda foggy as to when exactly the change happened with the 235 valve cover.

My '46 2 ton has a 235 with the "acorn nuts" holding down the valve cover.. it looks identical to the 216 in my '50 3100.

Only way to ever really tell what ya got is with the numbers on the engine.

an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.
