Ethanol can be made from virtually any fruit or vegetable matter- - - -corn, rye, barley, potatoes, grapes, oranges, apples, pears, peaches, agave plants, rice, and virtually any other grain or vegetable known to mankind. It's all lumped together under the general moniker "grain alcohol"- - - -opposed to methanol (wood alcohol) which is deadly poisonous. Either one can be deadly- - - -ethanol can just make someone enjoy the process a bit more!
