The clevis that is offered by most venders is shorter than the original. I was missing one and bought one from Classic Parts. It was over an inch shorter. At first I didn’t think it was going to work until I found that the single rod going to the front was also adjustable. I was able to adjust the front rod enough to split the difference and get both the short and long (original) clevis to work. I have since got a replacement original clevis that I plan on installing it, bringing the emergency brake assembly back to original. Still looking for a suitable replacement for the boots.
My suggestion to you is post in the “Truck Parts Wanted” forum and see if you can get an original replacement.
