I'm making my own 'AD' style kit. I bought 8' of 4" square tubing for $54. I ended up with the body 4" off the frame with original S10 body rubbers in the front of the cab and the original shackle mounts in the rear. I lowered the bed 2" using angle iron mounted through the next 'up' fender mounting bolts to mock it up. Looks fine on an S10 frame and the bottom edge of the fenders sit 9" off the ground with no motor/trans YET. Going with a 327/S10 5 speed combo. Trying to fix up the floor and the swing pedal assy right now.
Of that 8' of square tubing, I've used 18" and went ahead and duplicated my mounts for a second truck.
