Canyon: Sounds like your rolling right along on your conversion. One note on your filler behind the license plate. On my father in law's 54 pickup, the tanks in that position behind the back axle and fills via a cap in the center of the (Massive) back bumper. We have to remember when we pull into a station, to try to get a pump facing downhill to be able to get it full. Also due to the sharp bends in the filler tube, most stations pumps kick off even at the slowest setting on the handle, so you have to stand there and hold the handle about half way or a little under the first click on the handle to get it to run. And we don't even try to get more than a 3/4 tank when we've got the flatbed hooked up and our latest junkyard find in tow.
