I'm sure you do BUT is there a copper seal on both sides of the fitting? As far as bleeding the caliper, are the on the correct side? if the caliper is upside down you won't be able to bleed it. I struggled with this on a Jeep CJ5 years ago, I had the calipers on the opposite sides. They looked correct but the bleeder was not in the right location.
