There's no replacement for displacement.

Seriously, if you start changing things on an old engine, like cam and heads, it's either gonna start using oil or it's gonna come apart or both. If you're going to do performance upgrades, go all the way. That will include a lot of machine work, new pistons, bearings, gaskets, etc. Speed equals money, usually a lot of money.
