You really dont say what the problem is.If it is just top speed that old 283 should be plenty.You say you have a C20,so it is probably geared real low,and your top speed will be pretty low.As for engine power there are plenty of 283s running around putting out over 300 horses.Check out your gear ratio before you start throwing money into engine upgrades.Just my 2 cts.worth.
