I installed it right where the mechanical pump is, with the intention of moving it closer to the tank once I tested it to work as needed. I didn't do this from the beginning, as it involved cutting the existing fuel line and I didn't want to do that in the unlikely event I wasn't happy with the electric pump. This leads me to another question, still having the mechanical fuel pump installed but not having any fuel running through it, do I risk damaging it as it's running dry?
Running with no cap is about as vented as you can get. Where did you install the pump?
