Ditto! It seems that most "restored" antiques belong to owners who might as well be screaming "Look at what a big check I can write!" I did a pre-purchase inspection on a resto-modded stovebolt pickup with a price tag of $60K- - - - -and a rack and pinion steering system that tried to lock up the wheel every 90 degrees due to incorrect routing of the steering shaft and the wrong design of U-joints between the fancy new steering column and the R&P unit. The seller got highly agitated that I included that tidbit of information in my report to the potential buyer.
