I agree with Ken, that the systems on the market don't allow much input from the end user as to what components to mix and match. But they do have their place, for me I can justify using one because it should run out of the box, without all the trial & error on my part. This is important on my daily driver. When I have the money and time, I want to create a MPI system that also controls a turbo. The siamesed intake ports really seem to be the stopping point. So what if you use one of the 12 port aluminum heads(big money). Not a crossflow-I want to keep the intake & exhaust on the same side for the turbo. Could also use stuff like a crank trigger & distributorless ignition.
