I may do the same thing for the rear bumper myself. It would seem that stock style bumpers are really hard to get. Classic Industries lists them but they are back ordered forever. No doubt these are made by companies that prefer to wait until they get a large order of 50 or more before they do a run on them. I've had an open order for several months now, and I'm getting tired of waiting. I might as well fabricate a rear bumper as well, and if and when one ever comes in, I can replace it with the right one.
I got a hitch for my '52, but it would hang down below the bumper and look stupid without some kind of bumper above it.
