Reviving this thread. I'm still an FNG when it comes to the engine lubrication system, and I've put too much effort into this project to destroy the engine via ignorance. Reading the posts about orifice size and restriction tells me I need advice on properly setting up filtration. I have a '61 235 in my Apache 10. If someone could lay out the right way to do this and what to watch out for, I and my meager wallet will be grateful. I need to know flow direction and I honestly don't know the difference between a full flow and a bypass filter, or which my '61 235 should be using. Many thanks in advance.
