Most people are in too much a hurry and could care less about the vintage vehicle on the road. I usually take my truck to the hardware store early Saturday mornings before most people get out of bed. Times were much slower back in the1940s.
Old timers would tell you that driving over 55 MPH on the roads in the '40s would cause you to bite your tongue off if you were't careful.
