My 55.1 3600 w/235 & 4spd is very happy at 45. I've had it at 55/60 or so, a time or two. I was more bothered by the poor handling than the high rpms. But, 45 is the sweet spot - engine, transmission, suspension, steering & old fart driving are in tune and smiling.
