Just for information purposes a brand new battery can be bad. The 6 volt batteries sit on the shelves for months and will sulphate. About the only thing using 6 volts these days is a few tractors so the batteries just sit and wait for us Stovebolters to come along and give them a new home. I used to sell batteries in another life so I have first hand knowledge.
