I went through 3 reproduction temp gauges, not one of them worked. I eventually got a 50-60 year old gauge from Pre 68 Dave and it works just fine. And with the advances in gasket materials lately, there is really no good reason not to use new/modern gaskets, not to mention NOS gaskets would be really old and brittle by now. Not good at all for gaskets.
