Sorry about the year it's a 1946. I'm 66 so these are what I cut my teeth on back on the farm. Let me try again on explaining the slop. Say your in 4th gear the stick should stay straight in line but mine I can move why'll in gear in a U shape same in 2d and 3rd not so much in 1st ore reverse. The H pattern is actually pretty tight but with all the swing in it I miss the slot.
