Has anyone used something like a Hurst shifter to operate a Brownie? I've got several of them, both 3 and 4 speed types, and it seems that if the right leverage and fore-aft movement of the shift rods is set up, it would be a good thing to use on the 5X3 setup I'm planning for my American LaFrance fire truck.
